You may be familiar with the talented hopefuls on "American Idol," but one young up-and-coming musician has already found her own stage -- and ET has the scoop on this rising star of the indie music scene, HAYLEY TAYLOR!
The 28-year-old singer-songwriter's music has already been featured in commercials and on movie soundtracks, and now she's hitting the airwaves with her own unique sound.
"[My sound is] kind of, indie/alternative/folk-rock," she says. "I just want to share my experiences and express what I have to say."
As a teen, Hayley acted on shows like "E.R." and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," but she always had music on her mind. Her auspicious musical debut was at the age of three, when she appeared on the "JERRY LEWIS Telethon" -- dressed as DOLLY PARTON and singing "9 to 5" while roller-skating!
After graduating from prestigious Vassar College and studying painting at the Sorbonne in Paris, Hayley, a classically-trained musician, started gigging in L.A., which included a stint in the band RHODESTAR with "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star AMBER BENSON.
Now a solo musician, Hayley and her band have just taped a performance on "City Sessions" for Your Music Channel TV on the Dish Network.
Hayley's heartfelt Hollywood connections are keenly felt on her latest release, Waking, which features a song inspired by the death of her friend, former teen heartthrob JONATHAN BRANDIS of "SeaQuest DSV."
